Deși nu are un nume care să atragă prea multă atenția noul sistem de laSamsung are o dublă funcționalitate. În primul rând puteți folosi sistemul ca pe o tabletă obișnuită iar apoi puteți atașa o tastură fizică și un mouse pentru a o folosi pe post de desktop, un desktop la dimensiuni reduse.

Ecranul LCD de 11.6 inch prevăzut pentru tableta Samsung poate fi folosit fie cu mâna fie cu un pen special, indiferent de metodă acesta va răspunde cu precizie.

Samsung este de părere că Slate PC Series 7 poate rezista până la 7 ore cu o singură încărcare a bateriei. Un mare plus al acestei tablete este portul USB de dimensiune normală. Pe lângă Bluetooth și WiFi tableta dispune și de conectivitate 3 G (HSPA). În plus, pentru a facilita convorbirile video, Samsung a prevăzut această tabletă cu o cameră web frontală de 2 MP, iar pentru a face diverse fotografii o cameră montată pe partea din spate a tabletei de 3 MP.

Tabletele bazate pe sistemul de operare Windows 7 nu au avut parte de mare succes, majoritatea producătorilor așteptând anul 2012 și implicit sosirea noului sistem Windows 8.
